Buwalda Psychological Services offers a multitude of mental health services to the community.

Buwalda Psychological Services has skilled psychologists and therapists that serve to meet the mental health needs of our clients and the community.  Services offered include individual, family, couples, and group therapy, as well as multiple types of assessments.

Assessments include psychological evaluations, psychosexual evaluations, neuropsychological evaluations, bonding assessments, risk assessments, and  Rule 11, competency evaluations.                                                                                                             

Our clinicians are highly skilled, trained, and experienced in working in areas such as interpersonal relationships, trauma, mental health disorders, sex offender and victim treatment, substance abuse, and domestic violence.  In addition we provide therapeutic supervised visitation, restoration to competency education, and co-parenting.  We provide services to all age groups. 

We accept several insurance plans and also offer a sliding scale fee for those who qualify.

We offer training opportunities to graduate level practicum students, internships, and postdoctoral trainees to assist trainees in becoming licensed psychologists.  We are affiliated with the Arizona Psychology Training Consortium, a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) to provide predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency programs.
